MONITORINGSIN THE OPERATIVE PATIENT

Abstract
Monitoring in the operating room can provide a large amount of information concerning the condition of the anesthetized patient.
Many problems remain to be solved since the research work has not been done at this time, but it has become routinely used in the operating room.
Here, 1 briefly review and discuss available monitoring equipment.
1) The basic monitor should be set up in the operating room; 7 channel osciloscope, electric thermister, pulse monitor, Defibrillator, EEG, ECG Mingography and Radiometer (Blood gas analyser.) They must be small in size, simple in structure and cheap in cost.
2) The monitors should be arranged by the wall of by a trolley system in the operating room, recovery room and intensive care unit.
3) A medical electronic enginneering section should be established with the assistance of the superintendent of hospital and. dean of the medical school.
4) Skillful and well trained anesthesiologists should be sent abroad to learn the vast knowledge concerning the management of electronic monitorings and they must then train the intern and resident in the university.
5) Dangerous hazards in the operating room should be prevented by the use of nonexplosive anesthetic agents and electrical interference during monitorings should be checked sensibly from moment to moment.
